This Green Sea Turtle was about 2 feet long. He was pretty curious and didn’t seem to mind being filmed. John and Maureen were on the dive also. Key Largo, FL. August 27, 2010.

Nurse shark

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

This will probably be the last video I post of diving in Key Largo. Of all the videos I took it is probably my favorite. This nurse shark, Ginglymostoma cirratum, was very gentle and calm even as I followed it around the reef. I hope you enjoy the video.

Lobster

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Although this isn’t my best video, I think it shows the spiny lobster, Panulirus argus, pretty well. To take this video I had to hold the camera upside down and point the camera without being able to see the viewfinder while I was vertical with my feet up and my head down.

Grouper

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

I took video of this Black Grouper, Mycteroperca bonaci , in Key Largo, Florida on 3 October 2009. Since this is a protected area where no spearfishing is allowed the grouper let me get very close. In areas where spearfishing is allowed the groupers flee whenever they see a diver.
