Thursday, November 5th, 2009Mike and I went elk hunting this week in Routt County, Colorado. After several days of watching the elk were we were able to find a good place to take one. After making a stalk from over 600 yards away, Mike made a great 300+ yard, uphill shot in low light to get this great looking 4×5 bull elk. It was a great shot and the bull went down where he was shot. Have a look at the photos.

My good friends, Dan Joseph and Nick Thelen, have been racing in the Colorado Trail Mountain Bike Race. You can follow Dan’s real-time position or Nick’s position from their Spot GPS satellite transcievers. This is a very hard 500 mile self-supported mountain bike race.
